What is sold on this platform
Uruvar Kisan is an online marketplace operated by Uruvar Labs LLP for farmers buying farm inputs and renting warehouse storage. Item prices are set by the seller and are shown in Indian Rupees (₹) on every listing, in the cart, and on the checkout summary before you pay.
- Agricultural produce — grains, pulses, oilseeds, fruit and vegetables, sold by the tonne, quintal or kilogram directly by farmers and wholesalers.
- Farm inputs — seeds, fertilisers, pesticides, tools, machinery and equipment, sold by the unit, bag, packet or litre by verified suppliers.
- Warehouse storage — cold and dry storage capacity rented by the tonne-month from warehouse owners, with a storage advance payable on booking.
- Last-mile delivery — pickup and delivery of the above by Uruvar delivery partners, priced by distance and vehicle class (below).
Because produce is sold by farmers and suppliers at prevailing market rates, item prices vary daily. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay — we never change it after you confirm.
Fees on a purchase
On top of the item price shown on the listing, an order carries the following. Every one of these is itemised on the checkout screen before you pay — there are no hidden charges.

Cash on delivery carries a higher rate (4% rather than 2%) because of the cost of collecting and handling cash. Paying online is cheaper.
Delivery charges
Delivery is priced on the road distance between pickup and drop-off and the vehicle class your order's weight requires. The first 10 km are charged at the near rate and any remaining distance at the far rate, subject to a minimum fare per vehicle.

The vehicle is selected automatically from the total weight of your order; where more than one vehicle can carry the load you may choose between them at checkout and see each price before confirming.
Fees on a payout
Sellers, farmers and delivery partners are paid into their Uruvar wallet and withdraw to their own bank account. A withdrawal carries a 1% platform fee and a 2% payment fee, each with 18% GST, deducted at the time of withdrawal. The minimum withdrawal is ₹500.
Sellers are paid after the order is delivered, not when it is placed.
